Lost Words: Beyond the Page Interview with Sidonie Maria, Voice of Izzy

Few games like Lost Words: Beyond the Page grace our television screens in the current era of gaming. With a unique take on the classic platforming genre and foundations in interactive storytelling, music, and art, Lost Words: Beyond the Page immediately caught my eyes- and ears- as soon as I saw the trailer.

Lost Words: Beyond the Page is a 2D puzzle platformer that beautifully ties narrative into gameplay in a creative way, which is having the player explore the fantasy world within a journal while interacting with the words of the journal to solve puzzles and advance to the next page. The game follows Izzy, a newborn writer using her imagination and charm to create a fantasy story for her beloved grandmother. As a writer, it was only natural that I gravitated towards Izzy's coming-of-age, fantasy-writing adventure.

So I took the next step and shared my enthusiasm on Twitter while also asking who was the fantastic narrator covering the trailer. Little did I know I would get a response, and that response would be from Sidonie Maria, the voice of Izzy herself! Engaging in a brief conversation, I asked her for an interview to talk about Lost Words: Beyond the Page, voicing the main character/narrator Izzy, and what players can expect from this unique game. Check below to view the full interview!

Lost Words: Beyond the Page is scheduled to release on PS4 and Steam December of 2019. For more information on the game, click here.
