"The way to get started is to quit talking and begin doing." - Walt Disney

What better way to begin my blogging venture than with a quote from Walt Disney? It may have taken me some time to realize it, but Walt Disney has affected my life in so many ways. His mindset encouraged innovation, imagination, and inspiration.

A bit about myself: I have two dogs, an older sister who is also my best friend, two amazing parents that raised me to be proud of my Puerto Rican culture, and I was somehow blessed with an amazing girlfriend not even my imagination could dream. I earned a BS from the University of New Haven and a Master's Degree in Digital Multimedia & Journalism from Sacred Heart University. I want to continue my career path in video production, writing and community management/social media, preferably in the video game and entertainment industry.

I grew up with Disney movies and a plethora of video games that I love to converse about. You'll definitely read many pieces from me about video games and all things Disney. Now, it may seem I have my head in the clouds for the most part. Fiction is fiction, sure. But NEVER underestimate its impact to others and the world. Never underestimate its inspiration, its innovation, and the imagination it came from.

The endless pool of creativity excites me, which lead to one of my favorite hobbies: writing. Everything starts with an idea. It's when that idea morphs into words then onto a page where the magic begins. This passion eventually lead into video games, where the same thrills a book or movie can give are kicked up a notch by adding interactivity. And what's better than having theses worthwhile experiences? Talking about them. Social media allows me to exchange information and ideas with hundreds, and even thousands, of others, making that experience communal, yet personal.

But yes, it's hard to write. It's tough to endure the doubt and road blocks as a creator. But what's worse than having an idea stuck in your head, staying there, then forgotten later? As the Shakespeare of our time, Lin Manuel-Miranda, creator of 'Hamilton' and 'In The Heights', once said, "You push through it because what's the alternative? You're going to leave that idea stuck in your head forever? That sucks. The alternative is you go through life and you had this great idea and nothing came of it because you got tired. *disgruntled shrug*"

Thank you. I hope you enjoy what's here and what's to come.
